Tips For Your Dog Wearing Boots:
- If you pooch has never worn anything on his/her feet, it may take some time getting adjusted to.
- Place ONE shoe on your pet's front foot first. Just note that your dog will walk funny for the first few times that he or she will have them on and on some occasions, your dog may just stand still and not move. The key is to ignore any stubborn behavior that he or she might have. You must have patience and create a routine because rememeber, having something on their feet is new to your dog.
- Place the 2nd boot ne after dog has adjusted to one boot. Then repeat with the other boots until all four are on all feet. Distract your pet with a walk, etc..
- Put them on for at least a one-hour period every day for the first week. This way your dog will get used to wearing them. If you dog will not move after having the boots on, entice them with their favorite treat, walk, etc...
- Be sure to properly supervise your dog. Do not leave your dog unattended while wearing the boots.
- Do not attempt to place wet paws in the boots.
- If your dog has any injuries or medical problems associated with the paws or ankles, please consult with your veterinarian before placing boots on your dog's feet.
- These boots are designed to be used for cleanliness and a novelty purposes only.
- Allow for some "breathing" time. Do not keep the boots on your dogs feet for more than 5-6 hours
