It All Started With A New Puppy Named Sophie & A Computer....

Paw Palace was founded in the Summer of 2004 when Dana and Jason, a young couple from New Jersey purchased their first small dog; an eight week old Boston Terrier female named Sophie.

At a whooping 5 pounds, Sophie became a well spoiled, pampered pooch.  Her wardrobe began to grow and because her new mommy had so much fun with it, she decided to leave her corporate job and open up her own business.  "I knew I wasn't the only dotting mother to a furbaby who liked dressing up their dog." states Dana.  "It was actually two weeks of having Sophie in our home that I knew the purpose of her coming into our lives.  Actually, I have been pondering for years to open up a business but didn't know what type.  It just hit me like a ton of bricks when I was out with Sophie one day.  I just knew what I finally wanted to do".

After some long hours on the computer and some research, Paw Palace debuted on the world wide web soon thereafter.  Within two months of opening up one the of the largest online pet boutiques, Paw Palace began receiving media requests from such newspapers as USA Today, CBS Marketwatch, NY Daily News; just to name a few.   This is when Paw Palace started to become nationally known, as well as Sophie's modeling career.  To view the entire list of publications and events Paw Palace has been featured in, check out our Press & Media Showcase Page.

Paw Palace Opens A Retail Location In Red Bank, New Jersey

Within a year of having the online business, owners Dana and Jason opened the doors to Paw Palace's first retail location in August of 2005 in one of the nicest towns in Monmouth County.  With quaint little antique shops and boutiques, theatres, fine dining restaurants and coffee shops, Red Bank became home for Paw Palace.  "I had a vision and a dream a year ago." states Dana.  "I knew how I wanted it to look and where I wanted it to be.  It was just waiting for the right time and place to become available." 

Paw Palace has grown into one of the nicest and exquisite pet boutiques on the East Coast.  "We have had a ton of positive feedback from visitors and our regular customers since our grand opening.  Our pet boutique is simply different.  When you walk in, you either feel like you are walking into a baby boutique or if you don't have a puppy, you will soon!" states Dana.  "Actually we have had handfuls of expecting mothers walk in and think they are looking at baby clothes!"  Chrome racks filled with the newest, seasonal styles and more clothing all color coordinated along the walls, just makes you feel that you are in a human clothing boutique.  "We have such a large selection, you can simply find an outfit for your pampered pooch for any occasion".

Community Support
